James Bond Has some new caregivers. Former Sony Pictures Chief and producer of the films “Spider-Man” and “Spider-verse” Amy Pascal and “Harry Potter” and “Gravity” producer David Heyman will monitor the 007 franchis for Amazon MGM Studios With Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson Ceding Control, Indiewire has learned.
Pascal and Heyman are only in conversation right now, as Deal reported last month Between Amazon MGM and Broccolis is still completed. Amazon MGM had no comment.
Amazon MGM on February 20 announced that it formed a new joint venture to house James Bond IP, with the studio that got creative control of the franchise. Broccoli has been the most important caretaker for Franchise’s direction for decades, along with her half -brother Wilson.

Pascal, since leaving Sony in 2015, has become one of the most successful franchise producers in Hollywood. She has produced Sony’s “Spider vers” animated films, Tom Holland “Spider-Man” MCU films and critical lovers like “Little Women” and last year’s “Challengers.” While she was at Sony, she also monitored the release of the most commercially successful Bond film to date, 2012’s “Skyfall.”
Heyman is of course not a slouch. He produced all “Harry Potter” movies and “Fantastic Beasts” follow -ups and has the “Potter” series Restart at HBO, and some of his other Box Office hits have included “Gravity”, “Paddington 2”, “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” and “Barbie.” He is also a producer at Matthew McConaughey movie “The Rivals of Amziah King”, which just premiered at SXSW and is looking for distribution.
When Scott Stuber left Netflix to restart United Artists During Amazon MGM, it was the feeling that he could be in line with Shepherd Bond in view of the history of the label with the 007 franchise.
