Bleecker Street has acquired US distribution rights to “Spinal Tap II: The End continues”, the film from the director Rob Reiner This has Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer who all repair their roles as England’s highest – and most punctual – rock bands.
The film will receive a broad edition on September 12, and in anticipation of it, Bleecker Street will also release a recently restored edition of the original film 1984 back to theaters this summer. The new version will also meet digital and streaming platforms, which makes the first time the movie has been available digitally in several years.
“Spinal Tap II” was designed by the guest, McKean, Reiner and Shearer and follows Tap when they reunite after a 15-year break for a final concert.
