Dennis Quaid Turned into a haunting serial killer for the True Crime Series ”Happy face. “In the upcoming Paramount+ series, the actor depicts the real killer Keith Jesperson, also known as Happy Face Killer. “Impeachment” actress Annaleigh Ashford Stars like Jesperson’s daughter Melissa Reed Alias Melissa G. Moore, who is forced to confront the carnage caused by her father during the trial of another alleged murderer.
As a 15 -year -old, Moore discovered that her beloved father was the productive serial killer known as Happy Face. As an adult, she has changed her name and guarded her secret while her father has served life in prison. The official synopsis for the series reads: “After decades of no contact, Keith forces her back to his daughter’s life. In a race against the clock, Melissa has to find out if an innocent man will be killed for a crime that her father committed. Throughout all the time, she discovers the impact her father had on her victims families and must meet a count of her own identity. ”
The season eight episodes are inspired by the real story of Melissa G. Moore, her critically acclaimed “Happy Face” podcast from Iheartpodcasts and Moore, and her autobiography “Shattered Silence”, written by Moore with M. Bridget Cook. James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne and Benjamin Mackey also play.
“Happy Face” will premiere on Thursday March 20 with two episodes, exclusively at Paramount+ in the US and international markets where the service is available. After the premiere, new episodes will drop every week on Thursdays, with the season finale on May 1.
Jennifer Cacicio (“Your Honor”, “Shooter”) serves as showrunner for the series and executive produces with Robert and Michelle King, Liz Glotzer, Melissa G. Moore, Conal Byrne, Will Pearson, Michael Showalter and Jordana Mollick. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
Showalter (“The Dropout”, “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”) also directs the first episode. Showalter will next reunite with his “The Idea of You” star Anne Hathaway for Adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel “Verity”. Showalter’s real crime director Nick Antosca (“The Act”, “A friend of the family”) wrote the script.
