“It’s imminent,” Cameron said about its naturalization. “I have already qualified when it comes to the time in the country, I have submitted my application – I am told that it is imminent.”
Prior to 2020, Cameron shared his time between Malibu, California and NZ, but has worked towards the latter being his family’s permanent home in recent years. When it comes to why Cameron feels ready to officially become Kiwi, it is not on a small part because of the rising tide of fascism found in America today.
“I see a turn from everything decent,” Cameron said. “America does not stand for anything unless it stands for what it has historically stood for. It will be a hollow idea, and I think the hollow it as soon as they can for their own advantage. “
