“We actually studied this in school, the end of Bob Hoskins, and obviously an incredible Helen Mirren in this movie, but I remember it was a kind of first time I looked at the gangster cinema that felt grounded and about human relations rather than the type of glamorization of that lifestyle, ”Dickinson said. “It felt deep for Bob’s character, even at the end when he knows he is kind of tangled, and he is almost a little pathetic.”
