Sadie Sink sings in a post-apocalyptic rock opera


Filmmaker Gemy Jasper is traded in rap for rock for his latest film “O’SESSA,” the director and the author’s follow -up of 2017 Indie Darling “Patti Cake $.”

“O’SESSA” is a post-apocalyptic rock opera and musical film starring Sadie sink Like a farm girl who starts on an epic endeavor to regain a cared for the family’s legacy. The first trailer for the film shows a large and sweeping fairy tale with sink and the rest of the role that sings its hearts. Sink has a punk look and can also be seen in the trailer that swings out on a provisional, DIY guitar in front of a band of masked horn players.

“Stranger Things” fans will recognize sink as skatergirl-Turn-huge-Kate-Bush fan Max Mayfield. They will also recognize an up and down-like moment in the trailer “O’Sessa”.

Sink stars in “O’Sessa” together with Kelvin Harrison Jr., Murray Bartlett and Regina Hall. The film is released Searchlight Pictures and release exclusively on Hulu on March 13th. It will first make its world premiere at SXSW on March 8 at the Paramount Theater in Austin.

The full synopsis for the film says that O’Dessa’s journey “leads her to a strange and dangerous city where she meets her true love – but to save his soul she has to put the power in fate and the song to the ultimate test.”

That power of fate and singing was apparently not enough to “O’SESSA” to a theatrical edition.

Sinka soon moves on from her “Stranger Things” driving, which for her began during season 2. The fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” will debut this summer on Netflix; Streamer again splits the season into two parts. Duffer Brothers started the show’s farewell tour at January next at the Netflix event.

“This is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster films, ” Said Ross Duffer. “At the same time, we believe it is our most personal history. It was super -intensive and emotionally to film – for us and for our actors, ”Matt Duffer added.

Jasper and Jason Binnick, who also worked at “Patti Cake $”, wrote and produced 16 original songs for “O’Sessa.” Jasper was a DGA and movie Independent Spirit Awards nominated for “Patti Cake $” serves praise for their songs as helped make Danielle MacDonald a Breakout star.
