Severance Season 2 Sneak Peek Reveals Release Date and First Look at Gwendoline Christie. Will she solve The Big Goat Mystery?

It has been over two years Severance pay — one of them best Apple TV+ original series — left viewers with it wild season 1 cliffhangerand now we finally know when we’ll see what happens next for Mark Scout and the rest of his cut-off colleagues at Lumon Industries. Severance pay Season 2 will return on January 17, 2025, Apple TV+ announced, and that’s not all. A sneak peek (which you can watch above) gives us a glimpse of the mayhem ahead, including a first look at new cast members Gwendoline Christie. I can’t help but wonder if she will help us find out what’s up with those goats?

Gwendoline Christie is one of several greats addition to Severance pay Season 2 castwith Game of Thrones veteran who joins the ensemble that includes Adam ScottZach Cherry, Britt Lower and John Turturro. Details about Christie’s character haven’t been released, but in the sneak peek we see her telling someone (apparently Mark and Helly), “You should have gone.” It seems like she’s definitely privy to what’s going on at Lumon Industries, but how involved is she? Were her words a threat or a warning?

From the fluorescent lighting and what looks like an employee badge, I assume she’s inside Lumon. But aside from the typical business attire we’ve seen from its employees, Gwendoline Christie’s character appears to be wearing an apron of some sort under her blazer and a scarf in her hair. Can she be part of a maintenance or cleaning team? Caring for baby goats can also be a pretty messy job that requires a few extra layers, am I right?

The rest of the new video is equally cryptic, showing only flashes of Season 2, including what must be Helly’s Outie walking alone down a hallway after her Innie outdoes Lumon’s treatment of her cut-off employees. I can’t wait to dig deeper into Helly’s role in everything. We also see Dylan enter a new area of Lumon, a flip book with what appear to be drawings of Christopher Walken‘s Burt, and a picture of Irving with his head thrown back in laughter.
