It only took a trailer for Film Star Trek: section 31 to become the most awaited coming Hike project On my list. This action -packed trailer for the movie that will eventually be available with a Paramount+ subscription Holds nothing back and is jam-filled with lots of characters and species that make all Diehard fan heads spin. That said, the biggest question I have followed this mind -blowing trailer is: Why doesn’t it come to theaters?
I think many trekkies out there will ask the same thing, so while I do not say that we should raise pitch for, the question should be asked. Partly because of what we see in this trailer and how brilliant it is. Let’s talk about it, and hope there are enough people at the top of Paramount and wonder the same thing when they see how it has been received.
This, unlike all previous Trek projects, looks like we have seen, which makes sense completely
From the hope we have known that Terran emperor Georgiou was not exactly the model representation for what Starfleet represents. What we did not know is that there are others like her in Starfleet, who work in the shadows of section 31 and do what needs to be done.
Of course there are restrictions, which is why Kacey Rohl’s Rachel Garrett from Next generation is on the trip. Considering what we know about her, I think she will do her best to keep this ragtag team in check. Her presence makes this feel Star Trek‘s version of The suicide groupAnd I love it.
Section 31 is not intended to serve as Starfleet, so it would be wrong to see more or less the same. They get their hands dirty, do shady business and maybe even break the protocol, provided the end justifies funds. Sometimes there is just no other way to do it, that’s where they come in.
With an Oscar winner and a major role, there is a strong case for a theater publishing
For as good as this trailer looks, I am still stunned by the fact that this movie does not have a theater edition. Michelle Yeoh recently won an Oscar, and Sam Richardson won an Emmy. Omari Hardwick was well -loved in Driveand olatunde osunsanmi directed The fourth type And other films that received theater release.
Given that it has been a long time since we have seen a Star Trek movie in theaters, this would be a perfect way to start a new era for the franchise after a long delay. That said, we already know Paramount is to prepare a Hike origin film For theaters, maybe it was a fear of over -saturated the market.
I can also see the perspective that there is a certain risk of getting a movie for theaters that are bound to Star Trek: Discovery. The series published solid figures in streaming rankings during its final season, but the general mainstream audience probably does not have the prior knowledge of Georgiou to dive right into this feature. That said, I can imagine because we get some of her origin history and a younger depiction of actress Miku Martineau, who would cover the basis for what temporarily need to know.
My hope is that as we get closer drop, Paramount will eventually announce a limited theatrical driving for the film for Star Trek Fans who want to see this adventure on the big screen. It has been eight years since we have had a chance to see our favorite franchise at cinemas, so I beg someone at the top to consider it and make it accessible for people to see in all their glory.
Star Trek: section 31 Depends early on 2025 film scheduleand will flow on Paramount+. I am absolutely proud to see it, but as I keep saying, let’s get this on the big screen!
