Jewel Speaks Out on 2025 Trump Presidential Inauguration Controversy

After facing backlash for appearing at one of the president’s Donald TrumpS 2025 inauguration Balls, the “Who Will Save Your Soul” singer offered some insight into his decision to attend the “Make America Healthy Again” event, which honored the politician’s nominee for U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy JR.

“I, as many of you know, I’m a mental health advocate,” Jewel explained in a video shared to her Instagram January 24. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past 20 years, it’s that mental health affects everyone’s life across party lines.”

In fact, the 50-year-old sang a cover of Judy wreath‘s “somewhere over the rainbow” at the January 16 ball – shared that she previously made an attempt to work with former president Joe Biden As part of her advocacy and said, “I reached out to the last administration, spoke to the surgeon general about the mental health crisis facing our nation.”
