Finn Wolfhard Already have its project after “Stranger Things”: Director.
The “Stranger Things” Breakout star Make their directorial debut with an 80s inspired horror comedy film ‘Hell’s summer“As he wrote with director Billy Bryk. The duo also participate in the film, led by The actor “Nickel Boys” and “Gladiator II”. Fred Hechinger.
The official summary reads: “‘Hell of a Summer’ focuses on the 24-year-old camp advisor Jason Hochberg (Hechinger), who arrives at Camp Pineway and believes his biggest problem is that he feels out of contact with his teenage colleagues. What he not Know is that a masked killer is lurking at the campsites and brutally removes advisers one by one. ”
D’Pharaoh woon-a-tai, Abby Quinn, Pardis Saremi, Rosebud Baker and Adam Pally plays too. Hechinger, Wolfhard and Bryk all produce the feature, along with Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan and Jay van Hoy. The film ended after production in 2023 before it landed on neon for distribution.
Wolfhard told me earlier Entertainment Weekly that at the age of 20 he was met by skepticism from financiers over his ability to direct an element.
“That’s what everyone said when we tried to get money for this movie,” Wolfhard said. “They are like”You are a little young to direct a movie. ‘ I’m like “yeah.”
He added, “My God, they gave money to two children to make a crazy (movie).” Not to detract from it, I am incredibly proud of it, but it was a Crazy thing. We would like to sound film speak for himself. I don’t think age defines filmmaking in any way. I think everyone has stories to tell, and if you have the chance to do so, then do. “
Wolfhard will also redo his role for the fifth and last season of “Stranger Things”, which will debut later this year. “Stranger Things” was first broadcast in July 2016, with the show that extended over four years in the city of Hawkins. The last season contains special views, personal experiences, new goods in limited edition and more to mark the end of the viral show.
“Hell of a Summer” premieres on April 18 at the cinema from Neon. Check out the trailer below.
