Among them upcoming Marvel moviesthe much anticipated Captain America: Brave New World remains one of the most exciting. The film is set to continue the journey Anthony Mackieis Sam Wilson as he deals with a far-reaching conspiracy. Along the way he will encounter some huge enemies, and one particular enemy will be very formidable. I’m talking about Harrison FordThaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who will become the Red Hulk. Now a new trailer gives us a better look at the villain, and now I really can’t wait for this fight.
The first one Brave New World trailer only gave viewers a quick look at President Ross’ massive alter ego, and another marketing kit released by Marvel Studios gave fans a new taste. But with this latest trailer, audiences get to see the military man-turned-politician transform and battle with Sam. There are some striking shots of the Red Hulk, looking as comically accurate as people have surely hoped, and that roar is strong! Apart from these scenes, there is even more to hype about.
At the end of the trailer, Sam confronts the beast and declares to him, “come and get me!” With that, the gamma-powered creature hurls a flaming car at Wilson, who not only dodges it, but manages to slice the vehicle in half with one of its wings. Some might have been tempted to assume that since Sam doesn’t have the super soldier serum coursing through his veins, this wouldn’t be much of a fight. But this scene alone makes me sure that this will be a formidable match between two strong-willed individuals.
What will be interesting to see is if Marvel Studios decides to take Red Hulk on a more villainous path moving forward, or if he will become more of an anti-hero. In the comics, the imposing character joined the Avengers for a time, and that may also be the case in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It would definitely be interesting, especially since such a development would mean that Sam and Ross would have to work together – a partnership that is also being considered in Brave New World.
Amidst all the hype for this latest Hulk, what has been particularly fun is seeing how Harrison Ford has handled it all. The 82-year-old actor is known for not suffering fools and gives brutally honest reactions when asked about certain topics related to his work. On that note, Ford gave the most reactions to the brand when asked about his giant character’s good looks.
Aside from the trailer’s Red Hulk, there’s additional new footage to take in, including more from Isaiah Bradley’s attack on the president, the official look at Sam Wilson’s new helmet, and some sweet aerial combat involving both Wilson and New Falcon Joaquin Torres. It goes without saying that this could be a defining chapter for the MCU and if you ask me, things are really going to blow up. Or more specifically, a giant red fist about to hit the vibranium shield.
Captain America: Brave New World opens in theaters on February 14 as part of 2025 movie schedule. In stream the other Captain America flicks as well Marvel movies in order with the help of one Disney+ subscription.
