But ABC and Kimmel have since discussed the first choice. As the network put it, “We have spent the last days of thought -provoking conversations with Jimmy, and after these conversations, we made the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”
The stop at Kimmel’s show was confirmed by ABC on September 17, two days after the 57-year-old treated the discourse around Kirk’s death, especially bound to the person suspected of his murder, Tyler Robinson.
“Maga gang (is) desperately tries to characterize this child who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything but one of them,” Kimmel said during his September 15 monologue, “and did everything they can to get political points from it.”
