Emmys 2025 Honors Anne Burrell, Ozzy Osbourne & Maggie Smith under in the Memoriam segment

The actress made a performance during 2025 Emmys in Los Angeles September 14 to introduce the ceremony segment “in memoriam”, which began with a tribute to her late Cosby show costs Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
“He was a beloved teenager in an iconic television series that the world saw growing into masculinity,” began Rashad. “And like all our friends and colleagues who passed over the past year, Malcolm-Jamal Warner remains in our hearts.”
“We remember them, not only for their huge talent, but also for how they made us believe in something bigger, the best thing within us,” she continued. “And although they may no longer be here with us, we can all smile and know that their impact will remain, knowing that their lasting impressions will continue to live on through the story, knowing that they were moving our lives.”
The segment, which presented Vince Gill and Lainey Wilson By performing a duet of its single from 1995 “Go Rest High On That Mountain” also highlighted the losses from other stars that contributed to the television industry, including Anne BurrellThe Michelle TrachtenbergThe John Amos and Ozzy Osbourne.
