Life on a showgirl: Importance and inspiration explained
While she announced her 12th album would arrive on October 3, 2025, Taylor said she chose only 12 songs for Life on a showgirl To keep the “bar really high” and make the record “just right” with a holistic theme (so no, there will be no more songs).
Inspiration Was about walking “behind the curtain” from the ERAS tour.
“This album was about what happened behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour,” said Taylor, “which was so exuberant and electric and lively.”
She continued, “it only comes from the most smooth happy, wild, dramatic place I was in my life, so that noise has come through this record.”
On their vacant days from the tour, Taylor worked with Hitmakers Max Martin and Leather In Sweden to create these “infectious hymns”, including the title track with Eras Tour Opener Sabrina carpenter.
Travis admitted that he has heard every song and called them “12 bangers.” Besides the “The Life of a Showgirl” the tracks will be “Ophelia’s fate”, “Elizabeth Taylor”, “Opalite”, “Father figure”, “Eldest Daughter”, “Ruin the Friendship”, “actually romantic”, “Wi $ H Li $ T”, “Wood”, “Corted!” and “honey.”
