Ingelsby became one of TV’s most famous new creators with its 2021 limited series “Mare of Easttown”, star “Mare of Easttown” as one of the largest HBO series ever. A portrait of a near-ENBURBAN Eastern Pennsylvania Police Chief, it seized viewers with its snug but empathetic procedural story when Winslet’s police unavever a murder mystery. It felt like one of the few police officers and criminal crime thrillers who actually cared about their victims.
It has taken four years, but Ingelsby returns with a new series, and “task” seems to explore other often neglected aspects of American life. This time, Mark Ruffalo Leads an FBI working group assigned to solve a number of armed robberies, led by a family man (Tom Pelphrey) who hardly fits the profile of career crime.
Ingelsbys has always been interested in life in the margins. His debut specific script, which became the 2013 movie “Out of the Furnace”, came to him when he imagined what it would be like to be a criminal that was recently released from prison -when he wrote it, the then Afi degree student worked a summer job at the famous Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sanduskju.
His work is that of deeply known character studies, from the Sienna Miller head role “American Woman” to Addiction Recovery Drama “The Way Back.” Ingelsby’s latest movie is Julianne Moore-Sydney Sweeney with the thriller “Echo Valley.”
Billed right now as a drama series, it will be interesting to see if “task” has multi -season potential for HBO. “Mare of Easttown” won several Emmys in the limited series categories for the 2020-2021 season, although the lost Best Limited series to “The Queen’s Gambit.” Indieview is really excited about this one.
