Film at the Lincoln Center announced on Monday that “Springsteen: live me from Nowhere” will have its premiere at New York Movie Festival. The music biopics, with “The Bear” leads Jeremy Allen White as the American rock legend Bruce Springsteen, will premiere as the Spotlight Gala selection at 63rd NyFF.
White will participate in the NYFF premiere on Sunday September 28. Go with White will be co -stars Jeremy Strong and Odessa Young, as well as filmmaker Scott Cooper. Bruce Springsteen itself will also participate.
“The New York Film Festival has always felt like a spiritual home for the kind of movie I believe in,” Cooper said in a statement. “To arrive with a movie about Bruce Springsteen now – an artist whose music shaped not only a country but my own sense of stories – is something I could never have imagined.
“Springsteen: live me from Nowhere” Stars White as Springsteen during the period of his life as he created his iconic sixth studio album, “Nebraska.” Springsteen recorded these songs in their bedroom in Colt’s neck, New Jersey, with a 4-track recorder, creating a peeled folk album focused on stories with blue collar. “Nebraska” presented songs like “Atlantic City” and “Highway Patrolman.”
Cooper wrote and directed “deliver me from nowhere”, based on Warren Zane’s book of the same name. Strong co -stars such as Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau, while Young plays Bruce’s romantic interest, Faye. Other role members include Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, Gaby Hoffmann, Marc Maron and David Krumholtz.
“Taking their clue from the strong majesty in Bruce Springsteen’s classic album” Nebraska, “Scott Cooper’s” Springsteen: deliver me from nowhere “has an intimacy and immediacy that avoids most film biographies,” said Nyff artistic director Dennis Lim in a statement. “Anchored by Jeremy Allen White’s revealing performance, this year’s Spotlight Gala selection is a suitable tribute to a living legend.”
“Springsteen: Liver me from Nowhere” is the latest movie that is announced as part of the NyFF range. Other previously revealed items include Luca Guadagninos “After the Hunt” (which opens the festival), Bradley Cooper’s “Is this thing on?” (who will have its world premiere at NyFF) and Jim Jarmusch’s “Father Mother Sister Brother” (This year’s selection of midpoint).
NyFF 63 runs from September 26 to October 13. Tickets for “Springsteen: live me from nowhere” will be sold to the public on Thursday, September 18 at 12 o’clock. Film on Lincoln Center members will have access to tickets for sale before this time.
