Phrases stars as a struggling actor employed to play an American man for a Japanese “rental family” company in Tokyo. The role? To act as a stand-in for other people’s lives for their milestone events.
Synopsis reads: “Established against today’s Tokyo,” Rent Family “follows an American actor (phrases) who struggles to find purpose until he lands an unusual gig: working for a Japanese rental family” agency, playing standing roles for strangers. As he deepens himself in the worlds of his clients, he begins to form the genuine that is bleeding and is to do what he can do. Rediscovering purpose, belonging and the silent beauty of human connection. ”

“Rental Family” will premiere at TIFF. Deadline in the past reported that the film had been under development since 2019; “Val” star Fraser was throw As the leadership 2023.
