Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen get Honers Emmy


On the heel of Primetime Emmy nominationsThe TV Academy have announced that loved actors Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen will get the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award under the 77th Emmy Awards Ceremony and Telecast, broadcast on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

The honor, established in 2002, is intended to recognize individuals whose humanitarian work reflects the late comedian Bob Hope’s deep impact on society. The handful of former recipients include Oprah Winfrey, Danny Thomas (posthumously), George Clooney and Sean Penn. This will be the first time the award is awarded for a couple – two luminaires whose heritage outside the screen shines as bright as their decades of famous TV work (Danson has already won two Emmysand Steenburgen is a previously nominated.)
