James Cameron returns to Pandora

How is this for a log line? As for the third film in James Cameronare massive ”Avatar“Franchise,”Avatar: Fire and AshDisney will only share that this new part “Takes the audience back to Pandora in an engrossing new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi -warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and the Sully family.” It’s all adopted, right? And at the moment it is about as much empty as we will enter the “Fire and Ash” area.

The first trailer of the movie? It follows the same idea. When Disney showed the trailer to a selected group of press last week – before a planned roll -out along with “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”, which opened on Friday, and after a very short leak of the first look earlier this month – the studio was generous three times in a row. Each time my reaction was the same: this looks amazing, but what the hell is happening here?

Top of the mind: Who are These new na’vi will we meet? Who is the so -called ash people in line with? Where do they live? What kind of stylish animals do they have? And while this trailer gives us some good look at this band by Na’vi, including their Sooty Village and their rather hard leaders, the big questions remain, plus a new one: are they actually fighting Sully -Family and their Aquatic Metkayina clan?

The short glimpses we get on them suggest that, at least during some parts of the film, they really fight against Sully FAM, even take to heaven on their own animal cars in service to fight. In January, Cameron told Empire a little more about the movie, Including some fairly relevant notes on Ash Leader, lasted by Oona Chaplin). (You can look at Varan and Ash Village in two concept art images shared above and below, provided by Disney.)

“Varan is the leader of a people who has undergone an incredible difficulty. She has hardened by it. She will do anything for them, even things we would consider as evil,” said the filmmaker. “One thing we wanted to do in this movie is not black and white simplified. Or blue-and-pink simplified. … We try to develop beyond” all people are bad, all na’vi is good “paradigm … she is an enemy, an opponent character, but (chaplin) makes her feel so real and alive.” It is worth keeping an eye on in the first trailer.

At Cinemacon in AprilStar Saldaña said on stage that the movie is introducing two New clans, Windtraders (which you can see in the top picture) and the ash people, who have abandoned Na’vis deity. A teaser clip shared at the event ended with one of these Ash People Warriors that threatens Sigourney Weaver’s character By saying: “Your goddess has no dominance here”, which is also how this trailer ends. So no, things don’t sound like they’ve always been sunshine and flying dragons for the ash people.

The film also plays Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Jack Champion, UK Dalton, Trinity Bliss and Bailey Bass. It was filmed together with “Avatar: The Way of Water” from 2017 to 2020. Two planned (and currently untitled) sequels are in different stages of production and are expected to be released in 2029 and 2031 respectively.

Walt Disney Pictures release “Avatar: Fire and Ash” in theaters on Friday 19 December. Check out the movie’s first trailer below.
