Not being surpassed by Venice and TIFF, New York of the Year Film Festival on Tuesday started rolling out its own range.
First up: Opening evening, which is celebrated with North American premiere of Luca Guadagninos “After the Hunt.” The opening evening in the 63rd New York Film Festival, presented in collaboration with Rolex, will take place in Alice Tullly Hall on Friday 26 September, with Guadagnino and the members of the role.
In today’s announcement, Fragrance Classifies the film as a “razor new drama” where the filmmaker “throws itself with refreshing abandonment in the shady seas of contemporary morals and gives Julia Roberts one of the most complex and pleasing lead roles of her career.” The film will have its world premiere out of the competition at 2025 Venice Film Festival And will be released by Amazon MGM Studios in New York and LA Theaters on Friday 10 October with a national launch on Friday 17 October.
The film’s Nyff Logline says that “Roberts embodies chilly, seemingly self-assured Yale philosophy professor Alma Olsson, whose comfortable professional career and domestic life with his mercury make Frederik (Michael Stuhlbarg) are thrown into chaos after her phd-kandidat protée (aye Accueses) of sexual abuse.
