Now when the 26th James Bond Film officially has one Director attached to Denis VilleneuveThe search is official on for who will play 007. A report in variation on Friday suggests Amazon MGM Studios“Wish list contains some familiar faces.
Amount Reported that Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland and Harris Dickinson, three of the more in demand young actors today, all are at the top of the producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman’s wish list. The studio is probably looking for a British actor (or in Elordi’s role, Australians) for 30 years, which apparently would eliminate some other popular one-off candidates such as Henry Cavill, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, or at a point A Seems front runners, Idris Elba. However, no meetings have taken place with any candidates for the role, according to Variety.
Amazon did not respond to IndieWire’s request for comment on this story.
Villeneuve reportedly won the job over several other European candidates, including “Conclave” director Edward Berger, “Baby Driver” director Edgar Wright, “Paddington” director Paul King, and Jonathan Nolan, who have a relationship with Amazon as a showrunner for “fallout.” The report mentions that the studio was very interested in getting Christopher Nolan at one time, although it meant giving up the final cut, and that Heyman pressed hard for Alfonso Cuarón, which Heyman produced on the third “Harry Potter” filmBut that Cuarón eventually got out of the gap.
If the list of Bond candidates is correct, all three white actors are, although it has been generally proposed by the fans that a future band may or should be a person with color. All three are also very busy, with Elordi recently wrapped Emerald Fennell’s “Wuthering Heights” and shoots the new season of “Euphoria,” Holland linked to Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” and Dickinson registers for A full year of production on four Beatles films like John Lennon.
However, Villeneuve must also implement “Dune: Messiah”, which is expected to start filming as early as in summer in time for a release date in December 2026. With that timeline, it is probably Bond 26 may not be theaters until 2028 at the earliest.
