Robert Downey Jr. sings Pedro Pascalpraise. Both actors are shown in the next phase of MCU, with Pascal leading “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” as Reed Richards Alias Mr. Fantastic and Downey as Victor von Doom aka Docom for “Avengers: Doomsday.” Will they first be square in “first steps”? Unclear. But that didn’t stop Downey from pointing to how Pascal is an inspiration for Hollywood as a whole.
“Pascal’s slow course to become a household name that is on a very hot streak confirms my belief in our industry,” Downey told Vanity. And that’s true: Pascal is really everywhere. In addition to starring in “The Fantastic Four”, the actor is shown in “The Last of Us”, “Materialists”, “Eddington” and “The Mandalorian.”
And Pascal is also a newly found staple in Downy’s own home. Pascal teased to VF that he (and probably his colleague “Fantastic Four” co-stars Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn) have been part of “‘Avengers’ cast ‘homework’ day,” Valued by Downey, which VF reported.
Pascal said, “I don’t know, I don’t know,” when he asked if he was also a revenge, but it is obvious that Downey at least circles the wagons for the franchise considering his return to MCU. Downey was announced 2024 as Doctor Doom after playing Iron Man for more than a decade.
Pascal told VF that he was nervous about joining the acclaimed MCU franchise along with so many icons … and the fans’ opinions. Still, Downey eased the way for Pascal.
“I am more aware of dissatisfaction with my casting than I have ever done.” He’s too old. He is not right. He has to shave himself, “Pascal said, leaving that Downey made him feel comfortable with his” fantastic four “role.” He is just so immediately generous and inviting that you feel you can be scared, you can be hungry, you can be ambivalent. ”
And Downey is not the only MCU member who loves Pascal: “The Fantastic Four” star Vanessa Kirby, who plays Pascal’s wife on the screen, said that Pascal has a “huge vulnerability” as an actor. “He doesn’t have much armor, so he turns out directly to you,” she said about his inspiring acting techniques, “and you trust that person because he reveals himself to you in this very brave way.”
Director Spike Jonze (who is not connected to Marvel … as now), helped an apple ad with Pascal and summarized the actor’s appeal: “I think he is what we want in masculinity.” And given Pascal’s meteoric increase to fame, it turns out to be a fact.
